The aim of physiotherapy is to help restore normal body function. As well as treating a specific injury or illness, the physiotherapist may consider ways to improve the patient’s general well-being and overall quality of life. All of our physiotherapists treat their patients using a holistic approach to ensure that both the symptoms and the cause of the problem are addressed.

Back pain is a great example of how a holistic approach can ensure maximum recovery and reduces the likelihood of the injury recurring. Depending on the nature of the condition, back pain can have a number of causes, including:

  • Increased muscle tension
  • Overstretching
  • Bending awkwardly
  • Standing or bending for long periods
  • Lifting or carrying heavy objects incorrectly

Without a HOLISTIC APPROACH, none of these causes would be addressed and the likelihood of the injury recurring increases.

Patient Education

At Find-A-Physio, we strongly believe that patient education is an important part of physiotherapy. As well as aiming to improve your strength and mobility, a physiotherapist can also advise you on how to manage your condition more effectively. For example, by exercising regularly. We believe that by providing the patient with the tools and education to manage their condition, they will live happier and more fulfilling lives, without those aches and pains.
